Emily and Ryan love Park City, Utah – especially during the holidays! It only seemed fitting to shoot their December couples photos at some iconic spots – the McPolin Barn and historic Main Street. These locations are such a recognizable part of Park City. Plus, hitting both spots meant we got a great mix of nature and urban photos in just a couple of hours.
It was extra cold on this winter Utah shoot day. But even so, we managed to fit in an outfit change and plenty of poses. Emily and Ryan started in a more casual look with the McPolin barn in the background. We arrived just in time for the daintiest snowfall, and I love how you can just see the barn through the snow.
After changing into dressier outfits, we headed to Park City’s most classic photo op – Main Street. It helped that we visited on a weekday to avoid the holiday crowds. We had plenty of room to stroll up and down. While Emily and Ryan enjoyed the Christmas decor, I captured a mix of candid and posed photos. Thanks to a well-timed hot chocolate pit stop, we stayed warm enough and had a lot of fun.
This Park City couples shoot is a perfect example of choosing a location that compliments your relationship. This is a spot Emily and Ryan love to visit together. But not only that, it was so fitting for their personal style and the multiple outfits they wanted to take pictures in. Plus, opting for a winter couples shoot meant Emily’s stunning red hair popped gorgeously against the white snow.
