This winter Arizona wedding was the last one I photographed in 2022! Because it was December, Kendall and Max wanted to bring traditional seasonal touches to their desert wedding. The result was a charming mix of elegant details and rich winter tones transforming their rustic venue.
The day started with their religious sealing in the LDS Gilbert Arizona Temple. Even with the warm weather and bright greenery, Kendall and Max’s wedding day looks felt wintery with shades of snowy white and deep red. After being married inside the temple, the couple joined their closest family and friends with some of the biggest grins I have ever seen. They could not stop sneaking smiles at each other. I loved getting to photograph Kendall and Max’s special affection!
Their wedding guests were such a warm and loving group too. As you can see more during the reception below, so much joy and laughter filled this day.
Kendall and Max wanted a comfortable space for their families to mingle, eat some good food, and party. Shenandoah Mill is a Gilbert, Arizona venue with rustic and cozy details. They started with a ceremony on the lawn under twinkle lights. Next, dinner with all of Kendall and Max’s favorite comfort foods (pulled pork and mac & cheese!) prepared their guests for a night full of fun.
Some of my favorite parts of the reception were the classic shoe game, where the bride and groom answered funny get to know you questions for their guests to learn more. There was also a display table for some of Kendall and Max’s favorite memorabilia – including life accomplishments, photos together, and letters they had written back and forth during their LDS missions. They really did so much to celebrate happy pieces of their lives and their story throughout their reception.
