Olivia and Geoffrey met in college and were married 10 years later during this stylish beachtown wedding near Los Angeles. I joined this traditional Huntington Beach wedding as a second shooter for Mallory Dawn Photo. I loved this opportunity to capture moments that may have otherwise been lost in the shuffle of the other wedding photos. As you keep reading, you will find stunning inspiration for your own classic wedding day looks.

Olivia had a lovely slow morning getting ready with her bridesmaids, and champagne of course. She sent over a surprise gift to Geoff which you will see him opening up below – cuff links from Cartier to complete his groom attire! He was so happy to don them, with the help of his father. It was the perfect final touch before seeing his bride for the first time during their first look.

Their first look before the ceremony was amazing to witness. Olivia and Geoff chose to do this not for the photos, but to share a truly tender moment together before seeing all of their guests. The groom shed a few tears and it was so tender. It was just the moment they hoped for before guests started to arrive for the ceremony.

A Beachside Ceremony With Gorgeous White Floral Installations

Los Angeles florist De Flora filled the ceremony space with monochrome white roses, and abundant greenery to compliment the lawn. With the sound of waves crashing and classic California palm trees overhead, everything was the perfect mix of elegant and beachy.

During the ceremony, more tears were shed. Finally, Olivia and Geoff were pronounced man and wife!

A Luxurious and Stylish Wedding Dinner and Reception

Following the ceremony, we snuck away for a few romantic photos on the beach while guests were ushered to cocktail hour. We caught the sunset and it was magical!

Walking into the reception venue ballroom was enchanting. Opulent glass and gold details filled the room, with more white roses matching the ceremony look, and soft candlelight. The couple chose traditional place settings, and other tasteful choices for the entire look. The star of the show was the bride and groom’s sweetheart table, which was flowing with luscious florals and greenery, with a daintier half moon installation behind them.

Romantic First Dances and Clever Toasts

The evening started with a formal dinner. Afterwards, the dances and toasts began. For the couple’s first dance, the guests received sparklers to hold, which made for such romantic photos. The evening was so romantic and the speeches were treasured, as you can see by the guests’ faces.

At the end of the night, Olivia changed into a beautiful red Vietnamese dress, with lace applique and detailed beadwork, and mingled more with her guests.

The entire day was sophisticated, classy, and everything Olivia and Geoff dreamed of. Learn more about the Los Angeles wedding vendors that made this beautiful day possible, below.
