Coastal met classy during Tian and Micheal’s La Jolla wedding day. With the bright blue water contrasted with dark decor, this wedding look was somehow airy AND moody. As the beachy breeze wafted in, the deep and dynamic decor gave guests a place to settle in for an evening of familiar conversation. This wedding decor was as fresh and sharp as the location itself.

This day was packed with a vibrant color palette that made my photographer heart so happy. My true-to-color and ‘full of life’ editing style thrives when capturing an event like this one. From the endless blue, the bright greens of tropical inspired florals, clean sail-boat inspired whites, wood tones, and charcoal – every moment was thoughtful and styled to the nines.

But the touches weren’t only stylish, they were sentimental. Tian and Micheal are both dentists, and met through their profession. Since falling in love, they have even opened a practice together! They included cute nods to their meet cute, like floss on the welcome table.

A Classy Coastal La Jolla Cove Hotel Wedding

After cocktail hour, and as the light turned cozier, an abundant coastal wedding dinner was served. Many of Tian & Micheal’s guest had traveled from other countries to be here, so they lingered and chatted well into dusk.

Every moment balanced the sophisticated taste and the approachable personalities of this bride and groom perfectly. You can see more of that below, during their playful first dance. Finally, the sunset showed off with a classic La Jolla twilight, the final touch to a perfect beachy wedding day.
